Our club was established last year in 2012 with an aim to promote chess in college and provide opportunity to interested players to represent their talents at National and International level. Along with studies, the college have been focusing on overall development of the students which was the reason behind the establishment of our club.So our club is only sports club in our college which proves that college is also concerned about the development of sportsmanship in the students in our college.
Our club has been emerged as one of the best club in college and have promoted the chess not only in college but also in National level. The credit of our success belongs to the support provided by the college and the club members along with our players.Our club is also providing training to the students who are interested in chess and have also provided opportunity to the capable students to represent in different tournaments.The achievements which we have achieved in one year of its establishment is really praiseworthy and appreciable.Thus, we can say without any doubt that our club is one of the best club in our college.
Our Objectives:
1. To establish GoldenGate Chess Club as one of the leading club at National Level.
2. To promote the skills of students from college level to national as well as international level.
3. To provide a stage for students to involve in Chess at leisure time.
4. To upgrade the level of existing Chess players and to provide chance to learn Chess for the beginners.
5. To develop the attitude of sportsmanship and co-operation among students through chess.
GoldenGate Chess Club has been:
1. Providing training to chess club members by National Champions.
2. Conducting training classes on public holidays.
3. Conducting practice matches among the members from time to time to improve their skills and raise their confidence level.
4. Organizing Intra-College Chess Tournament to test the skills of players
5. Providing chance to participate in National level chess competition if done better at college level and during chess trainings.
